Pickle Shot is a golf improvement app for amateur golfers. It connects to the launch monitor you already own, shows you what a golfer at your goal handicap typically hits with each club, maps every shot against that target, and tells you in plain English what to fix next.

Your launch monitor tells you what you did. Pickle Shot tells you what to do about it.

Not yet. We are in pre-launch. Join the waitlist and you will be among the first in when early access opens. We will email you when it is your turn, and that is about it.

Pricing has not been set. Joining the waitlist is free and does not commit you to anything. Waitlist members will see pricing before anyone is asked to pay a cent.

Dilly is our mascot, a pickle in a red cap who loves golf more than golf loves Dilly. Dilly stands in for the rest of us: keen, a bit hopeless at first, then genuinely getting better with the right numbers.

Rapsodo MLM2 Pro and Rapsodo MLM come first. Garmin Approach R10 and R50, SkyTrak+, FlightScope Mevo+ and Mevo Gen2, Foresight GC3 and GCQuad, Trackman and Uneekor EYE MINI are planned. The launch monitors page shows the current status of each one, honestly labelled.

The Rapsodo MLM2 Pro works indoors and outdoors and measures the numbers Pickle Shot leans on most: ball speed, club speed, launch angle, launch direction and (with RPT balls) spin. It is the hardware we are building and testing on first. To be clear, Pickle Shot is independent. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Rapsodo.

According to Rapsodo, spin rate and spin axis on the MLM2 Pro need a Titleist or Callaway RPT ball, and the full set of metrics (including spin, club path and angle of attack) comes with Rapsodo's Premium membership. At the time of writing (Sep 2026), per Rapsodo AU, Premium includes a 45-day trial and costs A$299.99 a year, A$549.99 for 2 years or A$999.99 for lifetime access. We will confirm exact requirements before launch.

It is the set of numbers a typical golfer at the handicap you are aiming for tends to produce, club by club: carry, ball speed, launch, spin, dispersion and smash factor. Pickle Shot lines your shots up against those numbers so you can see the gap, and which gap matters most.

From published data, such as Trackman's combine averages by handicap and Arccos on-course stats. Our handicap targets page shows the figures with links to every source. We will always show where a number comes from.

Arccos data puts the median 7 iron at 148 yards for a 10 handicapper and 140 yards for a 20 handicapper, so a 15 sits somewhere between. We dig into it properly in our 7 iron distance by handicap guide.

Golf Australia's October 2025 handicap report puts the average GA Handicap at 18.16 for men and boys and 28.62 for women and girls. For comparison, USGA data for 2025 has 14.0 for men and 28.8 for women.

Not at all. Pop in your best guess, or leave it blank. Pickle Shot is about the gap between where your game is and where you want it to be, and your numbers will do the talking once you start hitting.

Yes. You can create your account with Google or with an email and password, then log in either way.

Head to reset your password and pop in your email. If there is an account, we will send a reset link that works once and expires after 60 minutes.

We use it to run your account and the waitlist, and to tell you about early access. We do not sell it. The privacy policy has the details in plain English.

Log in, go to your account and choose "Delete my account". It removes your account and your spot in the jar straight away. You can also email us and we will do it for you.

Coaches are on the roadmap. The plan is to let a coach see your gap-to-target dashboard so lessons start with your numbers, not a guess. It will come after the golfer app launches.
